That they are free of disease and, most importantly, they are raised in captivity according to the regulations in force because we put a bridge of honor on the rights of animals.

 Breeding tree frog

Breeding tree frogs in captivity is still poorly documented, but what is reported is consistent with breeding other members of the Phyllomedusidae family.

In the wild, breeding is triggered by increased rains from October. In terrariums, this means in October spraying water two or three times a day to mimic conditions in the wild. You will also need to increase the feeding frequency to allow the sexual maturation of females. Females usually are larger than males. During the mating season, they develop a large black dot on the inside of the thumb.

tree frog’s habitat

tree frogs do well with a glass terrarium as their enclosure. This is because glass is great at allowing heat to escape ensuring that the enclosure stays cool enough. Other enclosures such as wooden vivariums are far too efficient at retaining heat.

The tree frog’s vivarium should be at least 450mm in length and 600mm in height. There are 2 main reasons for this; firstly, the tree frog is going to grow to around 3″ so they need a space large enough for them to move around in. Secondly, they are arboreal frogs so they need an enclosure with enough height for them to climb.

Habitat temperature of tree frog

When you have a tall enclosure, your temp gradient will usually be top to bottom instead of side to side. A basking area of 85-90 degrees should be provided.

It is usual for your frog to feel a little nervous after receiving it, but this is only temporary, and the frog will begin to explore its new environment in minimal time.
Be sure to turn off the lights in the aquarium for at least the first 24 hours to allow the animal to adjust to its new environment after being kept in a dark cage, and make sure that the aquarium filter flow is not too intense for aquatic frogs.
Frogs are extremely resilient animals when shipped. Even if they are delayed, well-cared-for frogs like ours will still be alive and well.
feeding the frog upon arrival
If you are the first to receive your pet, it is recommended that you feed lighter, more digestible foods to allow the digestive system to resume its normal functions. Insects and small lizards are among the most popular foods for delivered frogs.
It is unusual for the frog to be so exhausted that it refuses to eat. However, if this happens, alternative foods can be provided to your frog. For example, chopped nocturnal, pellets, or even chopped nocturnal.
Do not give the animal more than it can eat and do not leave unfinished food in its tank or container.
